Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2019 Ford F-250 comes in six trim levels: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Most of the trim levels are available with a regular cab, an extended or Super Cab, and a crew cab, as well as a 6.8-foot or 8-foot bed. Exterior features on the base XL trim include a removable locking tailgate, a 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver equipped with a 2-inch insert, 17-inch steel wheels, and telescoping towing mirrors that are manually adjustable. Choose the XLT to get larger 18-inch alloy wheels, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, and rear privacy glass. With the Lariat you'll get power-telescoping and folding side mirrors, a power-sliding rear window, and tubular side steps, while the King Ranch boasts unique styling and trim details, LED box lighting, and automatic high beams and wipers. The Platinum trim level comes with LED headlights, power running boards, a built-in tailgate step, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a remote tailgate release. With the top Limited trim, you get a panoramic sunroof.
Engine (Power)
The standard engine in the F-250 is a 6.2-liter gas-powered V-8, which delivers 430 pound-feet of torque and 385 horsepower. An optional V-8 engine is available with any trim level. This 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel engine pumps out 935 pound-feet of torque and 450 horsepower. Both engines pair with a six-speed automatic transmission. On all models, rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive is available as an upgrade.
Performance
For towing and hauling, it's tough to beat the F-250 with the diesel engine. When properly equipped, the conventional towing limit of the truck is 21,000 pounds, while the fifth-wheel towing limit is 27,500 pounds. If you opt for gooseneck towing, this truck can handle up to 34,000 pounds, with a payload limit is 7,630 pounds. In order to reach these limits, you'll need the heavy-duty trailer tow package that is available with the diesel engine.
Interior
Within the cabin of the 2019 F-250 base trim level, you'll find basic features like vinyl upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and a four-speaker audio system. With the XLT trim comes cloth upholstery, a 4.2-inch display screen with Ford's Sync infotainment system, a USB port, and voice controls. Choose the Lariat to get leather upholstery, power-adjustable pedals and front seats, the Sync 3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a premium Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touch screen, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Interior features of the King Ranch include driver seat memory settings, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, and navigation. Select the Platinum and your truck will come with multi-contour front seats, while the top Limited has an exclusive two-tone leather interior.
Safety Features
All F-250 trucks come equipped with anti-lock brakes, a rearview camera, traction and stability control, and air bags throughout the cabin. Available features on higher trim levels or as options include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and adaptive cruise control.
